GIZA cotton is particularly soft, supple and resistant. It is the best extra-long staple cotton and makes up only 0.5% of the total Egyptian production, which in turn only makes up 0.5% of the world's cotton production!
It is harvested by hand at the ideal ripeness, in contrast to conventionally grown cotton, which is harvested in a single, mechanical process. It grows in the very fertile silty land of the eastern Nile Delta.
